General tips

  • Please book your appointment in advance to ensure timely photo delivery.

  • It's important to express your ideas but remember that some things require planning. Not everything can be accomplished simply by using Photoshop.

  • PRACTICE POSING: Practicing posing will help me assist you and improve your photos!

  • Stretch - Some poses you have in mind may be more challenging than you expect.

  • After booking please avoid contacting me on any social media platforms, contact me through the business line HERE with any questions and concerns.

    • In the format: Your name, your question or concern.

  • Remember: Your photos will capture exactly how you feel, so have fun

Retainer Fee

  • The 25% retainer fee serves as a deposit to confirm the booking time/date and also acts as a cancellation fee.

  • ALL RETAINER FEES/DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE

Booking

  • When looking for a session to book you need to figure out the basis of your shoot.

    1. An in-studio shoot provides you with a backdrop to work with, 

    2. While an on-location shoot can take place indoors or outdoors, not using a colored backdrop. ( Air Bnb, outside a restaurant, ect.)

      1. Any location other than my studio will be considered an on-location shoot.

    3. A creative shoot will include packages with more photo manipulation or set building.

    Once you've selected the basis, you will see categories on the next page to help you narrow down the type of shoot you're interested in. 

    My "Standard Shoot" appointment includes birthdays, maternity, graduations, and content shoots. All other appointments are self-explanatory.

    After you've selected the type of shoot, on the next page you will see packages that I offer for that specific shoot.

    lastly once you select a package you will be able to see my availability for that package ( Different packages will have different availability) 

Calendar dates

  • Available booking dates are highlighted in black. Dates not in black are unavailable for booking.

Travels

  • My travel packages are time-specific so please be truthful about the travel time so I can accommodate your booking and everyone else bookings accordingly

  • GPS your desired location to West Ashley SC (Charleston) to be sure of the travel time.

  • If you want to book a session that exceeds my travel time contact me directly. ( check terms and conditions for more information )

Confirmation 

  • After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a rundown of what your session includes.

  • If you need to reschedule or make any changes within your booking you can do so with the tabs in the confirmation email.

Rescheduling

  • Clients reserve the right to reschedule any session 72 hours or more in advance within their confirmation email. 

  • Personal Rescheduling done by me within 72 hours of your booking will incur an additional fee.

Cancellations/ No Show

  • Cancellations under any circumstances will result in a forfeit of your retainer fee on all packages.

  • A No show under any circumstances will result in a forfeit of your retainer fee on all packages.

  • If you can, reschedule before your appointment time to use your retainer.

Preparation 

  • We advise clients to be prepared in terms of 

    • PRACTICE YOUR POSES/POSING  

    • Outfits tried on to ensure they fit

    • Props together

Props

  • I am not responsible for providing any out-of-studio props/ fabrics and or accessories (including but not limited to) balloons, cakes, confetti, fabric clothes, and clothing).

  • We encourage clients to provide any props/ fabrics they deem beneficial to the shoot.

  • No Champagne popping, HEAVY bubble blowing, or any use of liquids that will not stay within an object, or sealed within the studio

The Shoot

  • If you are going to be late, let me know. I can let you know if I can work with the time you have left or not.

  • I DO NOT charge a late fee but I do charge for more time.

  • Your time starts at the time that you book for, not when you arrive. 

    • ex. If you have a 30-minute shoot at 4:00 pm, and you arrive at 4:15 pm you will have 15 minutes for your shoot.

  • Arriving at least 30 minutes early to perform the necessary preparation for your shoot is acceptable. 

  • Friends and family are welcome

Use of Time 

  • The entire photoshoot process is included in said time that you booked. 

  • Clients have the option to arrive 30 minutes early or use session time to prepare themselves. 

  • If using session time to prepare understand that it takes from your shoot time. 

  • “Just because you booked for an hour, and it took you an hour to get ready, does not mean you still have an hour to shoot” - Tyra Banks

  • Session Time will also include time for clients to change and gather belongings, as well as complete the checkout process. Therefore, shoots may end up to 10 minutes prior.

After the shoot

  • After your shoot, I will collect payment and run through the photo-picking process with you. 

    • I can take the remaining balance from the card on file that you used to secure your bookings, or additional services such as cash, Cashapp, Apple Pay, or a new card.

  • You will receive an online gallery link through email within 2-3 days after your shoot for you to choose your photos.

  • The home screen of your gallery will display the expected turnaround week for your photos corresponding with the date that you sent them back to me. 

 Images 

  • You will receive all images taken during your shoot. 

  • During post-production If the client chooses the wrong image and post-production has already been completed by the photographer, a new fee will be attached to choosing the correct picture for re-editing.

  • It is recommended to select your photos for retouching within a week of receiving the gallery. Choosing closer to the return date may result in additional time needed.

Additional Edits

  • Additional edits will need to be paid in full before the editing process can begin.

  • Special edits are an additional $25 and concepts will need to be discussed beforehand. You can schedule a consultation HERE.

Turnaround Times 

  • An estimated date within the weeks of your standard turnaround time will be provided on the cover of your photo gallery upon choosing photos.

  • Photos taken during the weekend (Friday-Sunday) will be returned on the following Monday based on your estimated turnaround date.

  • If you choose your photos within 5-7 days before the due date additional time will be needed.

  • In any event that you request a refund for your booking after paying in full, as well as after your session/event I will allow 50% to be refunded if your argument is valid.

  • The 50% that is not retainable will include the deposit for your session, as well as the follow-through of the shoot.

  • Rights of Use - 1Click Images & Sounds LLC ( Aj Smalls ) reserves the right to all images and productions for company, publication, marketing, and/or promotional purposes. Respectfully we take full consideration of clients who rather their images not be used for the uses stated above. Any pre/post productions may be susceptible to watermarking for brand protection purposes unless otherwise stated.
